Joseph Vella, CEO
Meet Joseph Vella, visionary and founder of the premier Atlanta-based destination management company C2 Eventz. A native of South Florida, Vella grew up surrounded by cruise lines, resorts and among some of the largest hospitality management firms in the country.
In college, he studied Hospitality and Tourism before eventually landing a job with NCL Cruise Line in Miami. It was there he began learning all aspects of the destination management industry, including how to organize events involving large groups; how to meticulously plan right down to the smallest detail; and how to efficiently resolve difficult situations that would arise.
While at NCL, he frequently worked with freelancers in the destination management industry who shared their exciting experiences working with various local companies. The thought of working with different clients and having greater control over the management process is what motivated Vella to branch out on his own. In 2003, after nearly two decades of gaining invaluable experience in an industry that requires a great deal of organization, focus and customer relations skills, Vella struck out on his own to create C2 Eventz.
Since that time, he has acquired accounts with numerous fortune 500 companies—managing conventions, corporate events, festivals, and trade shows. His full-service organization provides services covering all aspects of event planning including multi-city and international accommodations, venue selection, ground transportation, booking and arranging air travel, conference registration, facility set-up/décor, and planning recreational activities.
While forming C2 Eventz, Vella was aware of other DMC’s that were not always as professional—those who took advantage of clients and delivered subpar service. The industry veteran, however, wanted to take a completely different approach with his company: treating clients as partners. Vella attributes much of C2 Eventz’s success to establishing this strong, client-centered business model which his staff upholds.
The company’s great business acumen is apparent in its commitment to remain actively involved in every aspect of a client’s project, right down to the smallest detail. To ensure this, the C2 Eventz staff (and oftentimes Vella himself) is ever-present onsite at all events, and makes every effort to go above and beyond in handling clients’ requests. Even last minute changes are accepted and promptly implemented.
In response to his staunch commitment to delivering superior customer service, Vella has received numerous accolades from his many clients over the years praising C2 Eventz for its outstanding professionalism and service. Manheim, AutoTrader and Rock Solid Meetings & Events are among his elite client roster.
Not only is Vella dedicated to his clients, but he also believes in giving back to the community. In his spare time, he regularly supports the American Red Cross, participates in the annual Relay for Life, and donates to various other charities. When he’s not busy working to make a client’s event a phenomenal success, Vella loves spending time with family and enjoying leisure travel.
Joseph Vella is an active member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) as well as the Meeting Professionals International Georgia Chapter (GaMPI). Currently, Vella splits his time between Atlanta and Miami, where he is opening a second C2 Eventz office location.
J Patrick McCann, Event Planner and Designer
A client begins with a vision, and J Patrick McCann brings it to life with grace, pizzazz and style.
J Patrick has a gift for designing, producing and managing small and large events to achieve client objectives, whether that means introducing a new product, reinforcing a brand message or throwing a fun party.
J Patrick’s passion for events began when he designed theater sets in New York – he was a professional dancer there for 11 years – and he became enchanted with the idea of fabricating a perfect ephemeral experience. “It’s almost like creating a dream,” he says.
Making magic takes hard work, and J Patrick delivers. He loves the thrill of turning an empty space into another world – from an Irish street with five pubs for a St. Patrick’s Day party to an arcade for a game night event to a Moroccan oasis with a live camel on the seventh floor of a parking garage.
And when challenges arise – for example, the need to find a camel willing to walk up seven flights of stairs – he handles them with ease. “Tis is a business in which you’re always learning something new,” McCann says.
Joe Lipichok, Sales Technology Leader
Joe Lipichok, an expert in Event Planning and Transportation, is the Sales Technology Leader at C2Eventz. Prior to working at C2Eventz, Joe worked as a Lead bartender for Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group in Atlanta. He was born in southern California and raised in Des Moines, IA where he earned his Associates Degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Business Administration.
His List of accomplishments range from being a top salesman regularly to being featured in September’s 2015 issue of Jezebel Magazine. Joe steadily built his clientele through networking with everyone he came into contact with. He continues to build his web of contacts by being apart of GA MPI, Bizzbash, Jeckil Promotions, SITE, and IMEX America.
Joe continues to strive for success by always giving back to his community. He enjoys helping his family in Iowa by volunteering and planning the Beaverdale Fall Festival in Iowa. Joe and his family have ran the event for their church since 2004 and continue to make a truly great experience for their people in the community.
Joe’s hobbies consist of camping, hiking, kayaking, planning events, cooking, and making people smile. He loves to meet new people and build relationships that last a lifetime whether it is a business or personal relation.
